The Power of Listening

When I moved into phase two of the TL approval process last fall, I was placed into triad with Lisanne and Denis. Together, we form the LSD Triad – co-creating mind-blowing leadership. Its taken us several months to discover our resonate core values and shared noble cause. We have sat with these for several weeks now, and it really feels right.

calling forth a world where
every person is seen, heard, and understood through
connected listening and thriving conversation
realizing their own and others wholeness

 

Wow, typing it here, I love, love, love it. It brings together our personal missions as well as sets the direction for how we will do our part to make this world a better place.

A week or two ago, the following quote came through on my daily Values.com inspiration.

“The most important thing in communication is to hear what isn’t being said.”
Peter F Drucker (1909-2005); professor, writer, management consultant

Another one of those quotes that called out it me. Yes, the secret to thriving teams is within the human being. It is looking and seeing beyond the surface. To unleash full potential, we must delve further into our human side. Not talking ‘social’ here, talking real human connection.

Ying. Yang. Speak. Silence.
Listening. Hear. Truth within.
Creates potential.
